The cottage is about half an hour's drive from Dolgellau along the mountain road past the Creggennen lakes - seven miles and about nine gates. Final instructions about the cottage, access and the key holder will be sent on to you when we receive your final payment.
A view taken from about 150 yards behind the cottage over the Mawddach estuary and Barmouth with the Lleyn Peninsula beyond.
William Wordsworth visited the Mawddach Estuary in 1824. He wrote: 'I took a boat and rowed up the sublime Estuary, which many compare with the finest in Scotland, with a fine sea view in front, the mountains behind, the glorious Estuary running eight miles inland and the magnificent Cader Idris all within compass of a day's walk.'
